The Torch will be in my hometown of Penticton today. My Mom is heading down to check it out, while wearing her Olympic gear (not her mittens though, as I have those), and will hopefully get some pics for me.Olympic Countdown: 18 days!!!
ps - I've noticed increased daily helicopter activity. Twice now, I've had an army helicopter fly directly overhead. Maybe they're starting patrols now, so the citizens get used to it as well as training for the security folks.
***UPDATE: My Mom just called to say she got to hold the torch!!!! She was very excited. There was a runner exchange right in front of where they were standing and they got to talk to both runners. They'll email me the pics after lunch.
