Latvia vs Slovakia

Slovakia won 6-0. We were planning on cheering for both teams even though we had some Slovak gear but Latvia was so sad. They needed all the encouragement they could get so we cheered extra hard for them. By the second period it seemed like the whole arena was cheering Latvia on. Don't feel bad for Slovakia b/c they still got lots of love plus they won the game.

After a really big hit they had to tweak the glass.

TSN Intermission - Latvia vs Slovakia

We were shocked to discover that the TSN intermission show took place right next to our seats. We totally missed it in the first intermission but thankfully stuck around and watched it in the second. It was cool to watch the stage move out and the commentators get their make-up touched up.

Nick Kypreos' Stanley Cup ring. I've had the pleasure of holding a Stanley Cup ring before and those babies are HEAVY! Also a little gaudy but still very cool!

The guy sitting behind us thought me holding a beer would add to the picture and handed it over. That was pretty funny, but if you know me you know I hate (HATE) beer so this picture suddenly becomes much funnier.
